How do you deactivate Instagram?
Easy peasy! Go to your profile, tap on the hamburger menu (three lines), and navigate to Settings -> Account -> Deactivate Account. Follow the prompts from there. Voilà!

First-hand experience here! I've done it: just open the Instagram app on your phone, head to your profile, click the menu (aka three horizontal lines), select Settings, then Account, then hit 'Deactivate Account'. It's kind of hidden, but it works!
