Turn on your Xbox 360 and your controller by holding the Guide button. Then press the connect button on the console (next to the memory card slots). Finally, press and hold the connect button on your controller (it's near the bumper). Done!

Make sure both the console and controller are on, then press the sync button on both. Simple, really.

Easy peasy! Just turn on your Xbox 360, then hold the Guide button on the controller until it lights up. Press the connect button on the console, then the one on the controller. They'll sync up like magic!

From my experience, you just press the sync button on the console and controller. They’ll connect faster than you can say 'Master Chief'!
