Battling in Pokemon TCG is all about strategy and knowing your deck. First off, you've gotta have a deck, usually 60 cards, mixing Pokemon, Trainer cards, and Energy cards. You lay out your active Pokemon and up to 5 on your bench. Each turn, you can play Energy cards to power your Pokemon's attacks, play Trainer cards for various effects, and use your Pokemon's attacks to try knocking out your opponent's Pokemon. You win by knocking out enough of your opponent's Pokemon to collect six prize cards, knocking out their last Pokemon on the field, or if they can't draw a card at the start of their turn.

Just throw down your best card and yell "Pikachu, I choose you!" Okay, not really, but you do need to strategize. Energy cards fuel your Pokemon's attacks; without them, your Pokemon are just fancy cards with pictures. Use Trainer cards to turn the tide, and remember, the goal is to knock out those opposing Pokemon and snipe those prize cards.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
