Building a ship from scratch in Starfield is as epic as it sounds! Start by visiting a ship technician on a space station or a major city. Choose the 'Ship Builder' option, and from there, you can swap out parts, add new sections, and customize it according to your space-faring desires. It’s pretty intuitive once you dive in—just make sure you have the necessary resources to build your dream ship!

I built my first ship by combining different modules I found on various planets and space stations. It may take some time, but piecing together parts is all part of the fun!

You can't exactly start from NOTHING, but you can customize and build out a ship starting with basic models. Just make sure you're loaded up on materials!
