If you're managing a team in Franchise mode, just go to the roster management screen and manually change the player's position. Easy peasy!

I switched my player’s position by talking to my agent in the Road to the Show mode. Took a few games, but it finally happened!

In Road to the Show, you can request a position change by talking to your coach during the interactions. Just ask, and they might agree to move you!
