Hey! To change the notification sound for Snapchat, you actually need to do it through your phone's settings. On Android, go to Settings > Apps > Snapchat > Notifications. From there, you can select the sound you want. On iOS, it’s a bit tricky since Snapchat uses the default notification tone set by the iOS system, so you can change it by going to Settings > Sounds & Haptics and tweaking the Text Tone. Voila!

Android lets you change it in the app settings. iOS doesn't. That's it.
I've done this on my Android! Go to Settings, find Apps, tap on Snapchat, then Notifications. You can change the sound there easily. iPhone users, you're out of luck!
On Android, head to Settings > Apps > Snapchat > Notifications and you can customize the sound. Unfortunately, iOS doesn't allow app-specific notification sounds, so you're stuck with the default ones… bummer!
