You can also change it through the PlayStation website. Log in to your PSN account, go to your Profile, and click on the Edit button next to your Online ID.

I've changed my PSN name a couple of times. Just go to the settings menu on your console under Account Management. It’s straightforward but remember: the first change is free, but subsequent changes cost a small fee!
