Chopping down trees in Animal Crossing is pretty simple but you need the right tool – an axe. You can buy one from Nook's Cranny, or sometimes you get one as a DIY recipe. Just equip it, stand in front of the tree, and keep hitting it until it falls. Remember, use a stone axe if you just wanna harvest wood without felling the tree. Happy lumberjacking!

Ugh, why would you wanna chop trees down? They're the best part of the island. #SaveTheDigitalTrees

Just swing at it with an axe lol. But seriously, if you don't wanna accidentally destroy your orchards, make sure to use a flimsy or stone axe for wood. The regular axe will chop down the trees in three hits.

Pro tip: If you're chopping trees to make space or gather materials, remember to eat a piece of fruit beforehand. It makes your character strong enough to chop down trees in one hit. Super useful when you're rearranging your island or gathering lots of wood!
