Hop on your PS3, head to the 'Account Management' in the 'Settings' menu, and select 'System Activation.' Choose 'PS3 System' and then 'Game,' and finally hit 'Deactivate System.'

Sign in to your PSN account on the Sony Entertainment Network website, go to 'Device Management,' choose 'PlayStation Systems,' and find your PS3 to deactivate it from the list. Easy-peasy!

You can鈥檛 deactivate a single PS3 remotely. You need physical access.

I recently had to do this and the best way was through the console itself. Navigate to 'Account Management,' select 'System Activation,' and deactivate under both 'Game' and 'Video' if you have them activated. Took me all of two minutes!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
