From my experience, just use the mobile app. Tap through your friends list and unfriend folks one by one while binge-watching Netflix.
Use the Facebook Friend Remover extension for Chrome. It's a real time-saver if you're looking to mass-unfriend.
One word: Block them. They disappear from your friends list AND can't re-add you. Two birds, one stone!
