Just finished removing someone myself! Head to your game list, swipe left on the game you want to delete, and tap 'Delete'. Easy peasy.
Just stop playing with them! The game will eventually archive that annoying match and move on.
Open the app, go to your 'Active Games' list, then swipe left on the player's game you wanna remove. Bye-bye opponent!
