To delete, or 'transfer,' a Pokémon in Pokémon GO, tap on the Pokémon you want to get rid of and hit the menu button (three horizontal lines) on the bottom right. Then tap 'transfer' and confirm. Boom, it's like magic!

From my experience, you just open the Pokémon's info, hit the menu icon, and transfer it. It's super straightforward once you get the hang of it.
