To delete your Xbox account, you need to close your Microsoft account entirely. Head over to the Microsoft account closure page and follow the steps there. Heads up, this will delete all associated services like email and OneDrive too!

You can't delete your Xbox account separately. You have to close your Microsoft account, which will also remove Xbox services, Outlook, and more. Make sure to back up anything important before you do this!

Deleting an Xbox account? You can't. You have to close your Microsoft account instead, which kills Xbox Live too. Harsh but true.

Personal experience: I had to close my Microsoft account when I wanted to delete my Xbox account. It was all or nothing. Make a backup first because you lose access to everything under that email!

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
