First, log in to Instagram via a web browser (can't do this via the app). Then head to the 'Delete Your Account' page, select a reason for deleting, enter your password, and hit the 'Permanently delete my account' button. Done and dusted!
Just go to Instagram, settings, help, and follow the delete account instructions. Easy peasy!
