You can always stalk your friends' profiles鈥攗sually, people make their birthday visible there. Just try not to be too creepy about it!
To find out birthdays on Facebook, go to your Events page and click on the Birthdays tab. You'll see a list of upcoming birthdays there. Easy peasy!
Honestly, if you want to be sure you never forget a birthday, sync your Facebook contacts with your calendar. That's what I've done and it works great!
