Oh boy, getting a boat in Animal Crossing isn't like your typical 'head to the shop and buy one' deal. If you're talking about the latest in the series, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the 'boat' you're probably eyeing is for the special boat tours with Kapp’n. You don’t exactly 'get' this boat as an item; instead, you gain access to it! Once you update to the 2.0 version (or later) and have Harv's Island plaza developed a bit, Kapp’n will start showing up at your island's pier. Just cough up 1,000 Nook Miles, and you're all set for a mystery island tour on his lovely boat. Singing sea shanties is just a bonus!

Actually, there isn't a way to 'get' a boat as a personal item or vehicle in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The boat rides are exclusive to Kapp’n’s tours to mystery islands, which are more of an event than an item you can own. So, if you're dreaming of sailing the seas on your own, you might have to keep dreaming, my friend.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
