Ah, the hunt for the elusive pickaxe in Animal Crossing! Well, you're in for a twist because there's no pickaxe in Animal Crossing. Instead, what you're probably looking for is the shovel or the axe. The shovel is used for digging up fossils and the axe for chopping trees. You can buy these from Timmy and Tommy in Nook's Cranny, or sometimes you get them as DIY recipes. Keep those bells ready!

There's no pickaxe, mate. Maybe you're mixing up your games? In Animal Crossing, it's all about that shovel life for digging and the axe for chopping. No mining here, just good ol' island vibing.

Just to be super clear, because I've seen this mix-up more than once: Animal Crossing does not have pickaxes. You have axes and shovels, though. Axes chop, shovels dig. That's the tool time rundown in AC.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
