How to Unlock Akuma in Street Fighter 4
To unlock Akuma in Street Fighter 4, complete Arcade Mode with every starting character and then play through Arcade Mode again with a character that you’ve already completed it with. When you reach Seth, defeat him without continuing, and Akuma will appear as a secret boss. Beat Akuma, and voilà – he joins your roster!

I remember unlocking Akuma in Street Fighter 4 required me to not only beat the arcade mode with all the original characters, but I also had to defeat Akuma when he showed up after beating Seth without continuing. It was worth it for that raging demon goodness!
Just play arcade mode and beat everyone without dying. Akuma will show up!
Why not just play Super Street Fighter IV? Akuma's already unlocked in that one!
