Getting Ectoplasm in Terraria is a spooky affair! You have to brave the Dungeon after defeating Plantera. Once you're in the post-Plantera Dungeon, defeat the Dungeon Spirits that appear after you take down certain enemies. These spirits drop Ectoplasm, so get ready for a ghost hunt!
Lemme tell ya, farming Ectoplasm was a blast but also a bit of a grind. Had to beat Plantera first (not a small feat), then spent hours in the Dungeon. Those Dungeon Spirits don't go down easy, but when they do, cha-ching! Ectoplasm city. Worth it for crafting though.
