Nah, you can't pick up melee weapons in Apex Legends. Every legend starts with their fists for melee, which do 30 damage per hit. There's no picking up swords or bats off the ground. But if you're looking for something extra spicy, some legends get heirloom sets that include unique melee weapons. These are super rare cosmetics you can get from Apex Packs or by trading in Heirloom Shards, which you also find in packs. Heirloom sets are more about swag than advantage, though. Happy punching!

Heirlooms are the way to go for melee weapons, but good luck getting them. Spent like a zillion Apex Packs before I got my first heirloom set. Worth it for the cool factor, but doesn't change the game.

If you're a Apex Legends player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
