I've got tons of pets, and honestly, half the fun was figuring out where to find their summoning items. Chests and bosses are your best bet. Also, keep an eye out for special events, especially around holidays. They often drop unique pets that aren't available any other time!
Just buy them lol. Most pets can be summoned with items you find, but sometimes you gotta trade with other players for the rare ones.
