To get the Dye Trader to show up in Terraria, you gotta have at least one dye or dye ingredient in your inventory. This could be anything from Yellow Marigold to Strange Plants. Plus, make sure you've got a suitable house for him to move into. It's like you're setting up a shop for the most fabulous NPC in the game!

Just find a dye ingredient like a Yellow Marigold. That's literally it. Make room available, and he'll come knocking.

Contrary to popular belief, you don't need to craft a dye or anything complicated. Just snag any dye material from your adventures, like the Strange Plants you find in different biomes. Got one in your pocket? Boom, you're all set for a visit from the stylish Dye Trader. Keep that house ready, too!
