Honestly, just spam AOE (area of effect) attacks. They can't hide if the whole room is on fire!
From personal experience, using weapons with high splash damage, like the Ignis or Kohm, works wonders. Mimics tend to hide, but they can't escape the burn!
Just ignore them. Seriously, focus on the objectives and let other players deal with them if you're in a squad.
