How do you know if a Pokemon card is fake?

Oh, spotting a fake Pokemon card can be trickier than finding a shiny Charizard, but not impossible! Check the card's print quality; real cards have sharp and vivid images, unlike the often blurry or washed-out fakes. The card texture matters too; real cards have a slight texture, especially on shiny or holographic parts. Don't forget the light test—real cards are partially transparent when held up to a light, but fakes usually aren't. The weight and thickness can also be a giveaway; genuine cards have a consistent weight and thickness. Lastly, errors in spelling or card information are dead giveaways of a fake.

Just feel it! Genuine Pokemon cards have a unique texture that's hard to replicate. If it feels too smooth or too rough, it's probably a fake.

Honestly, most of the time you can just tell by the card quality. If it's super flimsy or the colors look all off, it's probs not legit.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
