Yo, look at the USB ports! The OG backwards-compatible PS3s have four USB ports on the front. More ports, more retro love!

Check the model number! If it starts with CECHCxx or CECHAxx, you've got a backwards-compatible PS3. Welcome to retro gaming heaven!

Forget the specifics, just know that the first few models (60GB and some 80GB versions) support PS2 games. Newer ones, not so much.

The easiest way? Pop a PS2 disc in and see if it works. If it plays, congrats, your PS3 is backwards compatible!

I had one of the early PS3 models, and those babies could play almost any PS2 game. Just look for the 60GB version; it鈥檚 a safe bet.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
