Honestly, it's all about the symbol. But don't ignore cards with no rarity symbol or a white star; those could be secret rares or ultra rares. I learned that the hard way when I almost traded one off thinking it was just a regular card!

Spotting a rare Pokemon card is pretty simple! Look out for symbols at the bottom right of the card - a circle means common, a diamond indicates it's uncommon, and a star suggests it's rare. Holo or foil patterns on the card also hint at its rarity. Plus, some super rare cards have letters like "EX" or "V" which means you've got something really special!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
