Check the light bar on the controller. It should glow orange while charging and turn off when fully charged.

When you plug it in, the light bar should pulse an amber color. No light? Time to check those cables and ports!

From personal experience, if you press the PS button while it's plugged in, you'll see a charging icon on-screen to confirm.

Just look at the light bar! If it's glowing orange or amber, you're good. It turns off when fully charged.
