Check the front of the console where the disc tray is. The Xbox 360 Elite is black, the Xbox 360 S is shiny and has touch-sensitive buttons, and the original Xbox 360 has a matte white finish.

Look at the serial and model number on the back of the console; you can match these with details on the Xbox Support website to identify the exact variant.
