First, you gotta remove the stand from the vertical position. Then, reattach the stand horizontally at the bottom of the console. It clicks into place, secure and steady!

I've had mine lying down for months. Remove the stand, reattach it horizontally, and use the flat surface to keep it stable. Works perfectly!

Lay the PS5 on its side after attaching the stand horizontally. Keep the PlayStation logo facing up so it doesn鈥檛 feel upside down. Easy peasy!
