To make a pickaxe in Terraria, first you gotta get yourself some basic resources - wood and any type of ore like copper or iron. Hit up some trees for wood, and mine ores from underground. Then, scoot over to a workbench (if you don't have one, craft it from wood). Open your crafting menu, and voila! If you've got enough materials, you should see the pickaxe option ready for crafting. Choose the pickaxe, and bam, you're all set to mine even better stuff!

Just grab some wood and ore, then hit a workbench. Easy peasy.

Actually, you guys, making the best pickaxes needs more than just wood and basic ore. Don't forget, as you progress, you'll need higher-tier ores and maybe even some special materials from bosses or certain biomes to craft the really good stuff. So, start with a simple one, but keep an eye out for those upgrades!
