To make an outpost in State of Decay, find a location marked with a house icon on the map, clear it of zombies, and then use the 'Establish Outpost' option from the radio menu. Make sure you have enough Influence to secure it!

First-hand, I've found that picking strategic locations for outposts is crucial. Outposts give you resource advantages and safety nets by creating safe zones. Trust me, they make surviving much easier!

You just need to clear the area, then open your radio and select 'Establish Outpost'. Done and dusted, easy-peasy!

My hot take: Don't bother with outposts early on. Focus on building your main base, then worry about outposts once you're stable!
