Just find a couple of chickens in the game world, feed them seeds, and you'll have a steady supply. Simple as that.
You can't technically 'make' a chicken, but you can find them in grassy biomes. Lure them with seeds!
Chickens spawn naturally in meadow biomes. Just find one, lure it with seeds, and voila!
