How do you pay for XX in MTG?
Paying for XX in Magic The Gathering is pretty straightforward once you get the hang of it. XX is a variable cost, meaning you decide how much mana you want to spend on it. For example, if you pay 4 mana, X equals 2, because you split the cost evenly among the X's in the mana cost. So, if you've got a spell that's XX and you drop 6 mana, you're essentially casting it for X=3. Always remember, the amount of mana you use will determine how powerful the effect of the spell is!

Lol, just throw mana at it until it works. But seriously, for XX costs, it's all about how many resources you're willing to commit. Got a big mana pool? Make it rain on that XX spell to make it super powerful!
As someone who's been playing MTG for years, the best way to approach XX spells is to first plan out your other moves for the turn. XX spells are flexible, but you don't want to sink all your mana into one and have nothing left for defense. Balance is key.
You can't pay an odd number for XX, it's gotta be even since the cost is divided equally.
