As a music junkie, I've had my fair share of obsessing over songs. Just make sure the repeat button shows a little '1'.
On desktop: Hit that repeat button at the bottom right until it has a '1' on it. On mobile: Tap the repeat button twice in the Now Playing view!
To put a song on repeat on Spotify, just click the repeat icon on the bottom right corner of the playback screen! Make sure you click it twice so there's a little number 1 on the icon, showing it's repeating just that one song.
