You can also sell cards for in-game currency. Just select the card, find the 'sell' option, and confirm to get rid of it and earn some extra VC or MT.
Just train them into other cards or sell them. Simple as that.
From my own experience, consolidating your cards by using them in training almost always works best. Plus you get to beef up your players, win-win!
