If you want to delete a user profile from your PS4 or PS5, go to Settings > Login Settings > User Management > Delete User. Select the user profile you want to remove and confirm.
I once had to delete my PS4 user profile, and it's pretty straightforward: Settings > Login Settings > User Management > Delete User. Done and dusted!
Just go to Settings > Account Management > Sign Out if you simply want to log out from the console. It's a lot less permanent!
