How do you remove a tree in Animal Crossing?
Just chop it down with an axe if you don't need the tree anymore. Three swings and it's timber time! But remember, if you want to keep the tree for later, you gotta go with the fruit method. Chopping doesn't let you keep the tree.

Easiest way to remove a tree in Animal Crossing is by eating a piece of fruit and then using a shovel to dig it up! This works every time. Plus, you get to keep the tree in your inventory if you wanna plant it somewhere else. Just make sure you've got a shovel handy, and you're good to go.
