To renew the encryption key on your PS3, go to Settings > System Settings > Restore Default Settings. This won't delete your data but will refresh the system settings and renew the key.

Just restart it. Always works for me.

Just need to head to Settings > System Settings > Restore PS3 System. This will refresh your encryption key but be cautious鈥攊t'll also wipe your hard drive, so back up first!

From firsthand experience, I found that updating the system software also renews the encryption key. Go to Settings > System Update > Update via Internet, and follow the prompts.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
