Go to the settings gear icon in the upper right corner, then select the 'Reset Island' option. Be sure you really want to start over because there's no going back!
Just hit the settings icon and find the 'Reset Island' button. Easy peasy!
From personal experience, resetting my island was as simple as going into the game settings and hitting 'Reset Island'. Make sure you鈥檝e backed up anything important first!
