Actually, it's as simple as hitting the minus (-) button on your Switch! The game prompts you to save and end, or just wrap things up for now. Easy peasy.

Not to be that person, but I always forget to save manually. Good thing New Horizons autosaves! But remember, relying on autosave isn't always the best since it follows its own schedule. Always hit that save button when you've done something important.

Saving data in Animal Crossing is pretty chill, just like the game itself! Simply press the 'Save' option from the start menu, and your game will save your progress right where you left off. If you're playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons on the Nintendo Switch, you can also enable the 'Auto-Save' feature which automatically saves your game at certain intervals. So, no need to worry about losing your progress when you suddenly have to stop playing.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
