You can't manually save in State of Decay 2 - the game automatically saves at key moments like when you enter or leave a base, or complete missions.
Auto-save does all the work in State of Decay 2, so manual saving isn't even a thing. Just focus on keeping those zombies at bay!
As someone who spends WAY too much time in this game, trust me, it auto-saves anytime you do something significant. Just keep surviving and your progress will be safe!
