To scan an amiibo in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you first need to get your hands on the NookLink app in the game. Then, head over to the Nook Stop terminal in Resident Services. There, you'll see an option to 'Invite amiibo Camper.' Select it, then hold your amiibo over the NFC touchpoint on your right Joy-Con or the middle of your Pro Controller. Bam! Your chosen amiibo will appear in your game. It's like magic, but cooler because it's Animal Crossing.

Pro tip: Make sure your game's up to date. Tried scanning my amiibo before realizing my game needed an update. Felt like a real moment of silence for my gamer skills there. Once updated, it worked like a charm!

Literally, just slap that bad boy (amiibo) on the NFC point on your Joy-Con, and watch the magic happen. Make sure you're at the Nook Stop terminal in Resident Services first, though.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
