Sorry to break it to you, but BitLife doesn't allow you to start rumors directly. Stick to backstabbing or pranks for your dose of drama.
Unfortunately, there's no direct way to start rumors in BitLife. Focus on being a drama magnet in school or work to stir up some trouble indirectly.
From my experience in the game, starting rumors isn't an option, but trust me, causing chaos in other ways is just as fun!
