To swim in Spyro, make sure you unlock the swimming ability by paying Moneybags a fee in the second game, 'Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!' After that, just jump into the water and press the jump button again to dive! It's like teaching a dragon fish to swim, easy-peasy!
