First, turn on your Xbox 360 console and controller. Press the sync button on the console (it's near the USB ports), then press the sync button on the controller (it's a small button on the front). The lights will flash, and once they stop, you're synced!

I used to struggle with this, but it's actually pretty simple. Turn on both devices, press the sync button on the console, followed by the one on the controller. They should connect pretty quickly.
