How do you sync an Xbox 360 wireless controller?

Turn on your console, then press and hold the sync button on the top of the controller until the lights start flashing. Press the corresponding sync button on the console (small round button). Both should connect shortly after!

Easy peasy! Just press the power button on the console, hit the sync button on your controller (next to the bumper), and then press the sync button on the console! Lights stop flashing, and boom, you’re paired.

From personal experience, sometimes you have to do it a couple of times if it doesn’t work right away. Just be patient and retry.
