Pro tip: Make sure you're working on a static-free surface to avoid damaging components. You'll need Torx T8 and T10 screwdrivers for the job. It helps to take pictures as you go to remember where everything fits.

Done this a few times! Start by removing the hard drive and then popping off the faceplate. Unscrew and unclip to remove the outer shell, then get to the motherboard and other internals with Torx screws. Take it slow and steady.

Just don't. You risk breaking it and voiding any warranty. Consider professional help if you're not confident.

Honestly, it's a pain. Find a guide online or YouTube video; they explain it way better than words can.

First, eject any discs and unplug everything. Then, remove the hard drive and faceplate. Use a small flat tool to unclip the top and bottom grill vent covers. Next, unscrew and detach the shell. Finally, remove the motherboard screws and gently lift it out. Remember to keep track of all the screws!

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
