How do you tell if an MTG card is a prerelease?

Nah, it's not about the shininess or stamps. Check the collector number. If it's different from the regular set, it might be a special prerelease or promo version.

Prerelease MTG cards have a distinct date stamp on them. Look for a small, gold-foil date stamped directly on the card. This stamp shows the date of the prerelease event for that set. Sometimes, it's right there in the text box, other times near the bottom. Plus, prerelease cards often come in a special promo version that's not found in the regular booster packs!

Easy - if it's shiny and has a date on it, it's probably a prerelease card. Prerelease cards are like the special guests at a party; they stand out.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
