It's all about the shine! Hold it under light and see if the card sparkles. If it does, then congrats, that's a holo. Non-holo cards won't have that glittery effect.

Easy! Just tilt the card back and forth under a light source. If the image of the Pokemon or the background shines and reflects the light, you've got yourself a holo card. Holo cards have this cool rainbow effect when light hits them, unlike regular cards.

honestly, just look for the sparkle. if it shines, it's holo. if not, then it's not. simple as that.

Check the card's texture too. Sometimes, the holo effect is not just visual but also tactile. Feel the card, especially the picture of the Pok茅mon; if it's slightly raised or has a distinct texture compared to the rest of the card, it might be a special type of holo card.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
