Rarity symbols at the bottom are your best friends. Also, some series have unique identifiers for ultra rare cards, like EX, GX, V, or VMAX on the card. Checking the card number against the set list helps too; numbers higher than the main set's count are usually special rare cards.

Just look for the shiny ones, lol. Most of the time, if it's shiny, it's rare.

One quick tip: check the bottom corner of the card! There'll be a symbol there - circle means common, diamond is uncommon, and a star means it's rare. If you see a star H or three stars, that means it's super rare. Also, holographic cards are generally rare too, so keep an eye out for those shiny ones!

Honestly, just google the card name. There's tons of info online that'll tell you not just if it's rare but how much it might be worth.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
